Youth Initiative Campaign
Investing in the Next Generation of Hunters, Conservationists, and Outdoorsmen
The Central Ohio Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI) is dedicated to protecting the future of hunting and wildlife conservation by inspiring the next generation. Our Officers and Board of Directors believe that ethical hunting, hands-on education, and outdoor mentorship are essential to cultivating lifelong stewards of our natural world.
Through our Youth Initiative Campaign, we provide meaningful opportunities for young Ohioans to connect with the outdoors, learn responsible hunting practices, and develop the skills and confidence that come from time spent in the field.
Youth Pheasant Hunt
Fully funded by the Central Ohio Chapter and our generous supporters, the annual Youth Pheasant Hunt gives young hunters (ages 10–20) an immersive, safe, and educational upland hunting experience. Participants receive firearm safety instruction, a guided hunt, lunch, and blaze-orange gear—all at no cost.
This cornerstone program continues to grow each year as we mentor young outdoorsmen and women and introduce them to the values of ethical hunting and conservation.
Youth Banquet Shotgun Raffle
At our annual chapter banquet, all attending youth (high school age or younger) will receive a complimentary raffle ticket for the chance to win a shotgun. This important tradition helps celebrate and encourage young hunters while welcoming them into the SCI community.
Supporting Local Youth Outdoor Programs
The Central Ohio Chapter is expanding its support for organizations that share our commitment to developing responsible, engaged young hunters. We are actively exploring partnerships and sponsorships for:

A Central Ohio 4H chapter

A Central Ohio Scout troop

A Central Ohio youth shooting team
These partnerships will help provide training, equipment, and mentorship to youth who are passionate about shooting sports, outdoor skills, and wildlife conservation.
Upcoming College Tuition Program
To further our mission of empowering young conservationists, the Central Ohio Chapter will soon launch a college tuition program supporting students pursuing outdoor, wildlife, conservation, or related fields. Additional details will be provided in an upcoming announcement.
Become a Youth Hunt Benefactor

The Central Ohio Chapter is proudly accepting $100 donations from individuals who want to invest directly in youth hunting opportunities and outdoor education.
