We're incredibly thankful for all the organizations who've generously donated each and every item in the 2025 live action. Their donation, as well as the winning bidder's, supports the cause of hunting, conservation, education, and community service. This outstanding selection of live auction items provided an outstanding value and experience for bidders, and generated a profound impact for the cause of the Central Ohio SCI.
These 2025 items will be on display for your knowledge until January 2026.
LEGADEMA HUNTING & SAFARIS – MOZAMBIQUE: CAPE BUFFALO
This is as close as you can get to the Old Way of African hunting!
This is a true classical 10-day cape buffalo safari for 1-4 hunters, which includes the trophy fee for one cape buffalo including day fees. Legadema Hunting & Safaris exclusive Mussinguezi hunting concession is in the Tete province of Mozambique. The concession is roughly 250,000 acres in size, is an unfenced hunting area surrounded by more than 5,000,000 acres of unfenced wild area. Here you will find some of the largest crocodiles in the world and a good number of elephants, buffalo, hippos, lion, leopard, and plains game. It is a tented camp, and each unit has a shower, handbasin and ablution with hot and cold water. The camp is right on the banks of the Furumwe River.
1. The winning bidder can bring up to 1-3 additional buffalo hunters who can hunt a cape buffalo at a discounted price of $9,000 including day fees.
2. Plains game can be hunted at standard rates.
Included: Trophy fees for one Cape Buffalo, roundtrip transportation to the Tete Airport, hunting license, gun license, community fees, accommodations, field transportation, 1x1ph and staff services, meals, laundry, tiger fishing and a free visit to the local school/villages if time permits.
Not included: rifle import license $300,hunt permit $300, dip-n-ship and gratuities. Rifle rental available at $30 per day if needed.

Former Chapter President Greg Rustemeyer would like to host a day of Muskie fishing for two anglers at one of his most productive lakes. Greg will supply all that’s needed in the way of boat, poles, gear, munchies ,drinks, a wealth of knowledge and a real fishing experience.
FYI: Greg has landed some of the largest muskies recorded within a 500 mile radius of Columbus. A day on the water with him will be a real learning experience. This fishing trip would also be a great gift for any serious angler.

YOUTH DEER HUNT
YOUTH DEER HUNT AT BLACK SWAN FARM :
Dr. David Webster has generously donated an unforgettable opportunity for a youth deer hunt at Black Swan Farm in Ostrander, Ohio. The lucky high bidder will have the chance to pursue a deer of either sex during the 2025 youth deer gun season on November 16th-17th, or on the bonus gun weekend of December 20th-21st, utilizing any legal weapon. Parental supervision is required. A 2-person elevated covered hunting blind is available. Please not that an Ohio hunting license and Ohio deer license will be required. Prior to the hunt date, if desired, Dr. Webster will personally assist the youth in setting up and sighting in their chosen weapon at the farm's private shooting range. Parents may also shoot on the range day.

BLACK BEAR HUNT
Newfoundland Black Bear Hunt
Barb Genge at Tuckamore Lodge has offered a 2x1 rifle hunt for black bear. The hunt takes place in Area 40, Main Brook, Newfoundland, Canada. Hunter should call ASAP for 2025 dates. Hunt can also take place in 2026. Hunt is done from tree stands and is for 6 days. Arrive on Sunday and Leave on Sunday. Hunt season is July. We can accommodate a hunter or hunters then, meals, accommodation *4.5) we have long days a short night in the summer. All bears are hunted over baits.
It is a 6 day hunt and you can kill 2 bears on each license but for the additional bear it will cost extra amount of $800 as that is shared between the guide and the lodge. We will pick you up at Deer Lake or St. Anthony, Deer Lake is a 4 hours drive but much cheaper than St. Anthony but if you go to St. Anthony you will stay overnight in St. John's our Capital City where there are pubs on George Street, a festival maybe going on at that time.
Newfoundlanders love fun and good music. A number of our chapter members have enjoyed the hospitality and great hunting extended by Barb and her staff.
